What do you expect from your training?

The thread has seemed to die, but I'll give my 2 cents.

I expect to learn enough at the entry level to perform what I am seeking. I understand if I am not ready, I will not be certified.  I view it like college, I expect some additional tutelage to be avalible within a resonable timeline - and I understand it may or may not come with a fee. (My company basis this on a case by case senerio)  At a certain time the semester is over and if you haven't completed your course you sign up and take it again - works in college, why not in diving?  You pay for a course, earn a certification, it is up to the person seeking the training to be able to perform within the passing requirments of the instructor.  The instructor should be able to help assit and educat you in the required skills and needs at the level. Put in the end - we need to perform up to passing standards and put forth an effort to learn and retain what was presented.
