Re:Red Granite Quarry
Got a good view of the snowmobile. I have been asked what model of snowmobile this is. I have no idea. Not much left of it though.

Enjoyed a good day of diving. Get out when you can.

Re:Red Granite Quarry
Does anyone have an idea of how badly yesterday's and today's rain has hurt the visibility in the quarry? I was there last week and it was fantastic and would take the drive today if I know that is won't be terrible. Anyone have experience on how rain affects it?

Re:Red Granite Quarry
Not sure how it would be - I'm just getting back in from Wazee and it was pretty good there down to about 60'. From 60-100 was pretty cloudy, but outside of that range it was superb.

Spent over an hour in Red Granite Quarry yesterday. The Visibility is EXCELLENT! The temp is around 50 above the thermocline and 42 below.

Re:Red Granite Quarry
Is Redgranite quarry diving done for the season until ice diving starts? I haven't heard anything in a while and was wondering if the Thanksgiving holidays were bringing occasion for diving. Has the quarry frozen already? (It wasn't a week and a half ago when I dove there.) Anyone been there recently?

Re:Red Granite Quarry
You *should* be able to open water dive it yet - I don't know for sure.

Me personally, I'm not diving this week/weekend due to holidays and hunting commitments. Good luck getting out there though Smile

Re:Red Granite Quarry
It hasn't been below freezing for any extended period of time has it? I was there 10 days ago and the water was still 45-48 at the surface. I suspect that the water is still as open as on the 4th of July. Vis was still really good too.
