Re: Lake Wazee
Very cool thanks for the info!  Now if we can figure out which dive entry for that and which direction to go once we're in the water.  Confusedigh:  I had a map of Wazee last year, and it disappeared.  Its the first dive entry as you enter isn't it?  Is it left or right in the water from there?

Here's a halfway decent map.  Sherwood is site #4.  There is a nice sloping road right out into the water.  You just go straight out from the entrance to the buoy on the training platform and you will pass th fish cribs and the tubes.  If you head out from the entrance and head to your right along the shoreline you'll be in the forest.

HEY SCUBAGRRL!  Looking forward to seeing you and your clan this weekend at Grant Park for the Treasure Dive and Picnic!

WAZEE wall is soooo cool.  And the FISH CRIBS?  Oh my gosh, just drop me off with a pile of air tanks and I could spend WEEKS Just at that ONE spot!

Doug found me an abandoned fishing line with a hook on it and I got so engrossed in walking the fish like a dog on a leash  :o that I totally forgot where I was!  ???

Try using shaving cream in your mast as a defogger, it works GREAT.  :o  Yes....it really does!  Clear shampoo works really good too.  And both are cheaper than the stuff they rip you off for in the dive shops.   >Big Grin

I am planning on going to Wazee for the Marineland Treasure Hunt.
ANYBODY WANT TO SHARE A ROOM and RIDE up there to reduce expenses just let me KNOW.   ;D  RIGHT AWAY please  :Smile

We're taking the newly certified boy to Wazee this next weekend and we want to scope out Sherwood Forest.  Anyone know what the water temp is at Sherwood?

Kids only got a 7mm full suit, 7mm boots, a 7mm hood and gloves, whereas we have hooded bare vests (the ones with no arms but a little leg) to wear over ours, so we'll be warm but I'm afraid he'll be cold.  Don't want to turn him off to cold water diving his 2nd certified open water dive. hehe

He should be fine down to the new wreck at least.  He should even be able to go deeper, but maybe not for real long.  There's lots to see there in the warmer  water.

Although I wouldn't do it again, I have been under the ice more than one time in a 7mm wet suit.  He'll be just fine anywhere in Wazee this time of year.

Has anyone been in Wazee in the last week or so?  Is the viz holding?  Thinking about this weekend, and was hoping the viz holds there.
