eRDP
This is kind of interesting

PADI looks to be coming out w/ an electronic version of the RDP.  You can play with a fully functional version online.  It's kind of interesting.

Re: eRDP
This was posted on the Decostop a while back.  It doesn't like any of the dives I put in it :'(

Re: eRDP
No.  It beeped at me quite a bit too.  Still a neat gadget though.

Re: eRDP
I heard from the LDS that you are even allowed to use the eRDP for taking your PADI OW written test!!  That seems like cheating, but sincePADI makes the eRDP and PADI makes the rules....better for their bottom line I guess.

Re: eRDP
I think it makes sense to give divers the simplest most accurate tools to plan their dives.  Do you really want to be diving with a guy that is sitting there trying to line up columns and rows on a plastic card?  Those kind of people are scary. Stay away.  Wink

Re: eRDP
It's a good simple device. I use it to double-check my calculations from the rdp. Only drawback that I can see is that there is no way to calculate a multi-level dive like you can with the wheel. Unless I'm too dumb to figure it out. I didn't find it in the instructions.

Re: eRDP
We have been using them for a month or so for our classes and diving and they are like many other things a good tool if used properly.

But they don't do multilevel diving.

Re: eRDP
this thing seems to simply be an electronic beeper.
You type in what you want it to do,
it flashes and beeps.

seems like a great product :Smile
