Re: Fortune Pond
I'm calling for reservations for the night of July 16 at the Cedar Inn in Crystal Falls.

Hope some of you board members will be joining my hubby and I and diving Fortune Pond that weekend. My regular buddy is pretty sure he will be out of town learning about air compressors. So I will be needing a buddy or two  :o

Will be bringing a dish to pass and my meat.

Re: Fortune Pond
I gave fortune pond a try this last thursday. WOW! i wish this place was closer to home. It was abouit a 5hr drive for us. THere were no other divers there and it seems that it rarely gets used. The viz was 40ft or so and bottom temps were in the 40's. The water quality is so much better than wazee but, there is no camping there or a dive shop for fills within 2hrs.

Re: Fortune Pond
Hey quit telling everyone this is so great. ( It really is LOL) Big Grin

We live up here and dive it often.  Might go again this weekend. (sun)

Years ago it was even clearer. DNR has been dumping yeast to help out the trout.  (Thus the fuzzy rocks) Not sure how this helps.

Did you see the stuff in there?  I have more to sink.

The dozen eggs in a basket put there a few years ago by a friend is gone but most other things are there.
Feel free to deposit a surprise.

Re: Fortune Pond
Visibility is good to 130 feet.  Then clouds out in a serious way.  I know a few that have gone deeper, but all have come back saying that you can not see a thing.
