ST. CROIX SCUBA WEED PULL 6/18/2011 PERCH LAKE WI
This time we're doing things a little bit differently. This time -- we'll have no mercy! We've turned our last weed pull of the year into a competition. The goal? To collect the most milfoil.
What: Weed Pull Contest When: June 18th, 2011. Start at 9:00 am, free lunch at noon. Where: Perch Lake - Homestead County Park Who: Divers! Non-divers are also needed on the beach to rake and help collect bags from the divers. Why: Eurasian watermilfoil is an aquatic plant that grows quickly, constricts native plant life, and overall reduces the quality of even the cleanest lakes. Join St. Croix Scuba in our fight to keep the beach at Homestead County Park healthy and enjoyable. Why else? Prizes, of course! Multiple awards will be given, including a tank, regulator, wetsuit, masks, and airfill cards. Everyone will receive a T-shirt for participating. Must sign up ahead of time, call the store for any other details! *free air fills at the shop for all participating divers |
