Talked with the town of Menasha FD today, and from what I hear, they're looking for money to get things started.  Also the town of Menasha is setting up a team for dealing with all the retention ponds.  One of their people just got certified and will be training them shortly, with gear to follow.

Hopefully the $2 billion in proposed cuts won't affect this effort, or the efforts of all the other PSD teams throughout the state.

I have been having problems budget cuts for 2 years now. I have trouble keeping equipment up to date with out trying to replace things. It looks like the best way to get things is to have a good grant writer and hope that  home land security will give you some money.
I have several Dept's that are getting money that way. Fire Depts are having good luck that way, LEO is not doing so well.

I can only comment about the dive rescue team I am on.  The budget cuts will have little or no effect on us.
