Re: Red Granite conditions?
Was there Saturday with a friend who is just OW certified and we stayed in the east end because he hadn't dove for a while and it was his first time in a dry suit.  It was crowded as you might think, being that it was so hot, but not really crowded.  The vis was not all that great because it was stirred up a bit.  64 degrees at the surface, 55 at 18 feet, 44 at 45 feet.  Vis from 18 to 25 feet deep was about 10- 12 feet.  Worse in the midrange and about that once you hit 40 feet.  Lots of particulate in the water.  We went off the north side and all the trees that were next to the quarry on the north ledge are gone so there is no shade to get geared up in.

Re: Red Granite conditions?
In the past with the warmer weather/water you have to get below 60 ft for the better visibility. We'll have to get over there one of these Fridays to check things out.
