A fine dive on the Advance
We had a fine dive on the Advance yesterday south of Sheboygan.  Viz was around 20-25' and "cloudy" seems to be the best way to describe the water.  I had a temp of 63 degrees F at the bottom at 86', no thermoclines on the way down.  Very large school of alewives circling around, and some of the biggest and ugliest burbots I have ever seen in my life skulking around in the timbers.  I had a chance to try my chin-tickling theory on one of them (similar to the nose-grabbing thing with Great Whites), and it appears to work as the Burbot started to smile.  Really...
We had just a mild chop, less than 1', and a slight breeze and no current when we splashed and by the time we were all back on the boat the wind had picked up considerably and we were getting some swells.
