This may be of interest to some of you. The archaeological project that Ethan Brodsky and I have been helping with over the last couple of years in caves in central Mexico makes the news.

It sounds great, doesn't it?  I don't really remember much blood or pus (except our own), but there's definitely scorpions, scary quantities of bats, and the occasional need to wade through neck-deep water with knee-deep guano underneath it.  They also left out the wasps, killer bees, poisonous pricker plants.  Maybe the blood and pus was only back in the ancient days.  Yahoo's got a video interview with Memo online right now - it's pretty cool:

Dennis- Diving in blood and pus is definately an advanced skill.  Let's get you through your full cave diving course next week and see how you do before working up to those type of dives ;D
