Just for discussion:

I just watched a show on National Geographic that says divers can't go below 300 meters (984 feet) because the pressure of 500 pounds per square inch is too much on the human body. It was mostly a discussion on deep technology.
I know that divers have gone over 1000 feet on open circuit and over 900 feet on CCR. Understanding and taking into consideration the dangers of CO2 build up, narcosis, trimix gas mixes, time, and exposure, are these super deep dives flukes or do you think the actual pressure on the body has no effect.
