I called Elmers (some local Red Granite bar and asked them).

They say the quarry is open.

Five of us got together to dive Redgranite Quarry today and I think we all had a pretty darn good time.  The morning brought much welcome sunshine, and the visibility was surprisingly good.  I'd say as good as 30ft at times.  It was possible to look around and see the other four divers without having to wonder it that was really a diver over there in the murk.  The vis was best in the 50-70ft range, and actually wasn't bad all the way to 85ish.  The bottom at that depth is that crazy light sucking black silt.  We didn't go any deeper than that.  There were a couple bicycles, a bowling ball, and many, many aluminum cans.    The only aquatic life I saw were the other divers.    Water temp was 39F and we were in roughly 1 hour.  Follow an enjoyable dive with some food at the Curve in Cafe, and it doesn't get too much better for a puddle jumping quarry dive.
