Anything open yet?

Anyone know of a lake open yet besides the Big Lake?  Elkhart?  Red Granite?  Anything?

Haigh Quarry is open.  It isn't 10 miles away, but it is open.

Kiwanis Pond in Janesville is open with 15-20 ft viz 39. Anyone wants to go I will join them.

where is this kiwanis pond? how deep and what is it like? got any pics? thanks....

I've never been there but I just did a Google Maps search of Janesville and using the Satelite mode with labels.  With labels, Kiwanis pond is clearly marked.  Looks easy to find off I90, then Racine St.

I'm sure that people that have been there will reply soon.

It is right off of I-90 in Janesville. It is a old gravel pit, just under 40 ft deep with the high water. I have not been in there this year, but was looking at it today. It is starting to clear up, but looks green.

A couple of us will be there Saturday the 12th at noon if anyone is itching to get out diving.
Directions to Pond: Coming south from Madison, Take Interstate 39/90 south to Janesville
Take exit 175A to merge onto E Racine St.
Take an immediate Left at first stoplight.
Go through golf course
Take first right, onto Sharon Rd.
Take immediate right and you will follow the wooden pillars down to the pond.
Park in the parking lot.  Nate

Talked to Keith at Wazee Sports and he checked the lake and it's starting to open by the wall entrance.  The rest of the ice is getting rotten.  I'll keep in touch with Keith and keep it posted.  Hopefully open by next Sat.

We were on the Milwaukee Car Ferry today !  36 deg top to bottom !!

Seems to be warming up fast :. We had 30-32 degrees out there a couple of weeks ago. Glad somebodies diving. We're going to give it a try next weekend.
