Help with sony handy cam marine pack mpk-f40
Hello all, I have acquired a underwater housing and I have no stinking idea what this thing is worth or what camera fits into it. It is big enough to be a brick, approx 20lbs. It is a late 80s era or early 90s era. It takes a Sony handy cam but I do not know what one. This housing looks like it has never seen water and I think I would like to try to put it into service. If anyone has any information on this, I could sure use it. Heck, I would like to know if anyone has ever used this tank of a housing. As far as I can see on the internet, this thing was designed to sit on top of a underwater scooter. Thanks for any and all help. James

Is it the yellow torpedo shaped one?  It may be for the old 8mm camcorder.

Kinda hard to say without a pic.

Here's what a Gates looks like for the Sony HD Z1U/FX1 with external EM43 HD monitor.

Show off  ;D. Nice set up. I'm not even a video guy, and I'm jealous.

My instructor (Craig Fink) at the old Inland Seas Diving Academy had one.  I don't know if he's still in the valley and diving, or not.
