Wazee Sports ice dives 2008???
Anybody hear anything yet about the Wazee Sports ice dives for this year? There isn't anything on their site (at least nothing real obvious). Thanks!

Had a great time up at Wazee yesterday ice diving. Conditions were perfect with warm enough air temps and 37-39 degree bottom temps and great visibility.  Met Doug, Jason, Jitka, and Bill up there for some good diving and good food. If you haven't been, you should go. It's well worth the $15 they charge.

A very enjoyable day.  Well organized,  two holes, tenders, warming trailer, food and plenty of camaraderie.  My hats off to Keith and all the folks working with Wazee Sports that made this happen.  They all made it an easy ice diving day!

Could you ice dive with a semi-dry suit or is it really a dry-suit only type of dive?

Plenty of people dive in wet suits (once ;D). Seriously though, for the first couple of years my buddies and I all used wetsuits or semi-dry's for ice diving. You can "pre-charge" the suit with warm water from coolers (throw in your gloves too) to help fight off the cold shock from jumping in. With a semi-dry you pretty much stay dry anyway.

A lot of people do it.  First dive of the day is OK.  The second can be rough.  But it still is divin.
