Re: Ice diving...
The ice gods were not with us today.  They tried to ramp the vehicle onto the ice.  the ice was about 5-6 inches thick.  either the cable would break or the ice gave way, needless to say the vehicle is still in the lake.  They have some different ideas to try again next weekend.  Being in and out of the water several times did cause problems with freezing my equipment :o.

We're meeting in Red Granite behind the old restaurant (sw corner of the quarry) tomorrow morning 8-8:30. Be there or be square.
TODD, I think your picture need to be even bigger!

Re: Ice diving...
Sorry, forgot to update the story.  After being out on the ice  about 4 hrs., it did finally ramp up onto the ice. The main issue was that the truck had large tires on it which would jam against the ice.  Unfortunately I don't have video of it coming out onto the ice.  My son was running the camera and I had sent him to shore to warm up the van for me because I needed to get warmed up and couldn't wait any longer.  I'm trying to condense the footage for a file to fit on youtube.
