South Carolina Fossil Hunt
The Cooper River in South Carolina holds hidden treasures! 

The cool water, fast current and limited visibility don't sound too inviting, but they are for fossil hunters looking to find the toothy remains of the giant megalodon shark and other ancient creatures!

Join Diversions Scuba as we dive fossil beds in the Cooper River, South Carolina, searching for remains of creatures that roamed the oceans millions of years ago.

Thursday, April 19 through Sunday, April 22.

$550 per person

Your price includes:
2 days of Boat Dive Charters
Up to 6 dives, including tank rental and air fills
3 nights hotel (based on double occupancy)
3 Deluxe Continental Breakfasts

1 Hobby Diver License for fossil collection

Some interesting facts about the megalodon:
The megalodon lived between 16 and 1.6 million years ago and was the largest fish to ever roam the seas.  Estimations of megalodon's size are between 40 and 52 ft long, and 20 to 30 tons.  Megalodon teeth can measure up to 6.61 inches in length!

Ah, I see, your out in Madison!  You seem to come up with some of the more interesting trips I've seen posted about.  How was this fossil dive?  This sounds like a good time! 
The only good diver is a wet diver.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the trip in April.  When they went before, they had a great time.  You almost always come out with a bunch of teeth at the very least.

Hopefully, we can try it again.
