Europe Lake
After getting weathered out at the Fleetwing on Monday, we hit Europe lake.  It is a great snorkeling lake for the non-certified among us.  Water temp was fine for 3mm suits and vis was around 8'.  The recent rain may have gotten things stirred up.  The bottom is a combination of rock and thin white silt.  The silt isn't very solid and it's a thin coating over the rock bottom.  The thickest encountered was 4" deep.  Saw a few bluegill, a school of bass fingerlings, and the shadow of what looked to be a bass in the 2' range, or large walleye.  The rocks that weren't disturbed were covered with freshwater sponge.

We snorkeled South from the public landing and back in a big loop.  Max depth we hit was 6' but most was around 2-3'.  We did see a couple of millfoil sprouts which we removed.  No zebra mussles yet. (try to keep it that way)

Re: Europe Lake
Finally got a bottom pic.  It's pretty much like this all over, at least from what we saw.
