Thanks for all the responses to my earlier post.  Red Granite was interesting.  As a tropical diver only until arriving here, was unsure what to expect.  Vis was around 7-10, which I hear is good conditions here.  Thermalclime hit at around 22-25 feet and went very quickly to 45 degrees...Brrrr.  Glad to have full 7mm, hood and gloves, but could only handle the cold for about 20 minutes.  Neat rock ledges, two boats, a bicyle, an abandoned scuba tank with the words "leave here" written on it, and some sort of barrel, more narrow at top and lodged in the rocks.  Looking forward to Lake Wazee as soon as can manage around our schedule.  Did not see any type of animal life, except what we presume to be large masses of fish eggs, or possibly some type of "see-through" but cloudy algae formations.  Not sure though.  Was somewhat dissappointed in the area around quarry being dirty and garbage filled - expected more concern for environment, but was told by a local that the area "kids" are the cause.  Shame, shame, shame!  Was GREAT to finally blow bubbles though!
Take pond fish food along next time!  Get the red pellets at Fleetfarm.  The trout love em.  Put some in a ziplock and add water to the bag.  Then squeeze it out as needed.  It's best in the spring.
Went to Lake Wazee today and the visibility was much better.  Worth taking a dive there.  You can find alot about Lake Wazee in the Local Diving Topics on this site.
