One of the Wisconsin Historical Society projects last summer as to study the Moonlight, which sank in Lake Superior in 1903. The effort was recently written up in Der Spiegel, a German weekly news-magazine (equivalent to Time or Newsweek here). I can't read German, but I at least enjoyed trying to recognize some phrases and looking at the photos and the video (by Ken Merryman).
